Winemaker Notes
Château Tayac Prestige reflects the character and maturity of its old vines. In the glass, it displays a dark ruby hue with subtle purple highlights. The bouquet unfolds with ripe fruit and elegant complexity—cherries, wild cherries, morello cherries, vine peaches, figs, and delicate spice. On the palate, the wine is structured yet supple, with harmonious integration of fruit and oak. Silky tannins coat the mouth, leading to a long, persistent finish accented by lingering fruit and a hint of vanilla.
Production
Meticulous vineyard care and traditional Bordeaux winemaking bring out the full potential of these mature vines. The age of the vineyard contributes depth and concentration, while careful oak aging adds refinement and balance. The result is a wine of finesse and power, ideally served at 18–19 °C alongside hearty dishes or enjoyed on its own to appreciate its complexity.
